Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz have been doing rounds on social media with their lively performances at the 2024 United Cup. The duo is currently representing their Team Poland at the annual event.
Most recently, Swiatek and Hurkacz registered an opening-round victory at the Perth event and have further entertained the crowd with cheeky banters and hilarious press conference statements.
Team Poland thumped Brazil 3-0 on the back of breathtaking performances from Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz in the Group A contest on Saturday, December 30. The encounter witnessed World No. 1 Swiatek down Beatriz Haddad Maia in straight sets and later, former World No. 9 Hurkacz registered a comeback victory over Thiago Seyboth Wild.
In a post-match press conference after their triumph, Swiatek joked about the 26-year-old taking every match to tiebreaks. It is worth noting that the pair have been a regular at making hilarious admissions during their time at the United Cup.

The duo’s team is led by full-time coach, Tomasz Wiktorowski, and is joined by teammates including the likes of Katarzyna Kawa, Daniel Michalski, Katarzyna Piter, and Jan Zielinski.
Hubert Hurkacz showers praise upon teammate Iga Swiatek at the United Cup
Polish tennis professional Hubert Hurkacz spoke highly of Iga Swiatek and commented on the latter’s attitude and commitment during a recent press conference after registering a 3-0 win over Brazil.
It's always so much fun to play with the team. We have Tomasz, Iga. Iga brings so much amazing energy. Definitely can learn a lot from her, the way she's playing, the way she's competing. Just really committed to the game and going after the shots, which really is inspiring. Yeah, and the way she plays in the mixed doubles. Team Poland will next lock horns with Spain on Monday, January 1. Swiatek is scheduled to square off against Sara Sorribes Tormo while Hurkacz will take on Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
