Coach Goran Ivanisevic discloses Novak Djokovic won’t vary his vaccination stance amid his uncertain chances at the 2023 Australian Open

Goran Ivanisevic and Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic, the 21-time Grand Slam singles champion was deported from Melbourne at the beginning of the year for being unvaccinated even after reaching Australia with a medical exemption. He was also exempted from playing at all the tournaments during the North American swing for being unvaccinated.
Goran Ivanisevic, the coach of the Serbian legend, during an interview, opened up regarding Djokovic’s stance on his vaccination status which has been quite a debatable topic of discussion. Djokovic’s participation chances at the 2023 Australian Open are uncertain with no confirmation regarding the upliftment of the three-year visa ban since Tennis Australia doesn’t intend to go against their government.
Djokovic remains unvaccinated until now and the Croatian coach believes that the Serbian hasn’t by any chance changed his stance. He said that “Novak has not changed his mind about vaccines and his health, it is now up to Australians to decide.“
The Croatian coach even applauded the Serbian for his flawless performance as he is on a 9-match winning streak and hasn’t dropped a single set on his return. Ivanisevic said that “He played brilliantly, especially in Astana. It’s as if he hadn’t taken a break at all when he hadn’t taken part in any tournaments since Wimbledon.“
Novak Djokovic might not able to play at the Paris Masters where he is the defending champion

Novak Djokovic kickstarted his return to the Tour with his back-to-back ATP title wins at Tel Aviv in Isreal and at Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. His win at the Astana Open marked his 90th ATP singles title and became the fifth player in the history of tennis to achieve 90 or more singles ATP titles.
But The 7-time Wimbledon champion might skip playing at the Paris Masters keeping in view the ATP Finals where he has been qualified for the 15th time. He is the defending champion at the ATP 1000 tournament in Paris where he defeated Daniil Medvedev to clinch the sixth title of his career. If he chooses to miss playing in Turin, the Serbian legend might lose some crucial points and a further deduction in his overall rankings.
