American tennis star Coco Gauff has been taking time off after getting knocked out right in the first round against Sofia Kenin at the Wimbledon Championships. And with the Toronto Open just a week away from kick-off, she was seen at the Warm & Fuzzy talk show answering some funny questions. The host, Michael Kosta had a set of pictures with him that were regarding the questions Gauff had to answer.

At one point in the show, Gauff was asked if other players are in her head all the time. Kosta asked, “You know what’s funny, this exercise with me is that a lot of tennis players seem to mention other tennis players and I’am just thinking as a tennis fan, are all of you in each other’s minds all the time, a little bit.” It really made Gauff end up with a smile as she replied, “A little bit”.

She added, “I mean, we are each other all the time, we see each other from than family and then you know, when you lose some matches, that’s in your mind, so yeah.” As she spoke, three pictures popped right above her head namely, Paula Badosa, Iga Swiatek, and Maria Sakkari. Gauff shares a great rivalry with these three players and this is the reason Kosta might have this animation taking a dig at her.

Coco Gauff has faced a lot of hate and bashing criticism for her bad run of form in the last few months. She is nowhere close to being that player who took the sport by storm way back when she was 15 being the youngest player to win a major WTA tournament. Since her runners-up finish at the Roland Garros last year, she hasn’t been in the later stages of any of the tournaments she has participated in in the last few months.

A few weeks back, a huge controversy arose when Gauff lost against Ekaterina Alexandrova at the German Open with fans criticizing her father, who was her coach during that time, for her slump in form. She was forced to sack him and then she put her trust in Pere Riba with whom she began training ahead of the Wimbledon Championships but nothing has changed with the American getting ousted right in the opening round despite being seeded seventh in the competition.
