With the Australian Open around the corner, Coco Gauff is gearing up for her preparation not just for the Grand Slam but also for the Paris Olympics 2024.
Apparently the young tennis professional has this dream of hers pinned down as one of her visions for the new 2024 year, according to NBC Sports.

She desires to win a medal, whatever sort that may be—a bronze, silver, or gold. As for her, it does not matter as long as she wins something at the Olympic event. She would appreciate it in any way, whether in singles or doubles.
It’s not the same to me as a Slam, I guess, in a way. I just put ‘I want a medal at any of the events. She said.
Gauff, who is presently fourth in the world and leads among American players, plans to compete in all three categories—singles, doubles, and mixed doubles—in the Paris Games, which will be contested at Roland Garros.
Her remarkable performance at the 2022 French Open, where she came runner-up in both singles and doubles, demonstrates her familiarity and comfort on the Paris clay.
Challenges on Coco Gauff’s way
To win all three Olympic tournaments, Gauff would have to endure a grueling schedule of 15 matches spread across nine days, from July 27 to August 4.
The young American superstar, who won her maiden Grand Slam singles title at the US Open in September 2023, is determined to make an impact at the Olympics.

To qualify for the Olympics, the top four American women in the WTA singles rankings following the French Open in June earn a spot. Gauff, with her current ranking and recent Grand Slam success, is ideally positioned to represent the United States.
While Gauff’s ambitions include all three disciplines, the logistics of Olympic doubles and mixed doubles contests present difficulties, given that a country can only enter two pairs in women’s doubles and one in mixed doubles.
Gauff and fellow American Jessica Pegula have excelled in doubles, reaching the French Open final in 2022 and the semifinals in 2023.
