American young tennis sensation Coco Gauff received widespread recognition and appreciation after her impressive and historic US Open title win a month ago.
In a tournament where she was not quite considered the favorite, she went on to beat World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka from a set down in the final and become the first American female tennis player since 2017 to get their hands on the title.

There were a lot of celebrities who congratulated Gauff on her impressive win, but there was one who stood out the most in her mind. It was none other than the American actress Zendaya, whom Gauff said had sent her a bouquet of flowers after her title win.
I didn’t really do anything that cool after winning the US Open, to be honest. But the messages you get from celebrities are crazy. The coolest thing that happened to me was Zendaya sent me flowers to my house. It was like a huge bouquet of flowers. My brother & I struggled to lift it up on the table. I think it weighed at least 50 pounds. It was so heavy. I think that was the coolest thing.Coco Gauff said in the post-match interview with Tennis Channel
Gauff talked about how heavy the bouquet was, revealing that even her brother found it difficult to lift it up from the ground.
How did Coco Gauff start her WTA Finals campaign?
Coco Gauff is one of the most fortunate to feature in both the singles and doubles sections of the WTA Finals. It is a dream for any tennis star to play at the year-end tournament, but to have a chance of lifting two titles both in the singles and doubles departments is a fortune. Gauff began her doubles campaign with a loss alongside partner Jessica Pegula.

They went on to lose the match against the seventh-seeded duo of Erin Routliffe and Gabriela Dabrowski by a scoreline of 6-7, 3-6. But in the singles department, Gauff was in scintillating touch as she went on to beat fifth-seed Ons Jabeur in straight sets by a scoreline of 6-0, 6-1. She will be up against Marketa Vondrousova next Wednesday.
