Coco Gauff, the American rising star has taken the tennis world by surprise ever since she turned pro. Now as one of the most promising contenders on tour, the youngster is having an extraordinary run at the 2024 Australian Open. 

Continuing her dominant run in Melbourne, Gauff reveals her pre-match music that drives her to a resounding victory. In the interview, the American revealed to listen to Jaden Smith’s hit songs before entering the court which drives her in the mood to win. Using music as a way to calm her nerves down, Gauff also revealed that listening to many rap songs gives her an energy surge that she carried to the game.

Before I go on court, I listen to "Icon" by Jaden Smith. I try to listen to some pump-up rap music to kind of get my energy up.

Coco Gauff advances to the fourth round of the Australian Open after beating her countrywoman Alycia Parks in a two-set blinder. Leaving no chance for her opponent to break through, Gauff managed to secure a victory 6-0,6-2 in no time. This was her third straight set victory at the competition making her one of the strong favorites to win the title.

She entered all guns blazing against her friend Alycia Parks at the Australian Open and won the match in no time. Her compatriot stood no chance against the very determined Gauff who hasn’t lost a set till now. However, both the players hugged it out after the match with Gauff showering praises on her opponent.

During the post-match interview, Gauff praised her opponent for her hard serves which 

Forced her to be more aggressive. Having spoken about improving her return like Novak Djokovic, Gauff hit some fabulous returns that gave her an advantage in the match. Other than this, Gauff was also seen telling her opponent that the next time, they would meet in the finals. This puts her in the top 16 of the draw and one of the strong contenders for her first Australian Open title. With the tournament about to start its second week, string players are going through to the next round posing a huge challenge for Aryna Sabalenka and her title defense.
