World No. 3 Coco Gauff is gearing up for her participation at the 2024 Indian Wells Open. The WTA-1000 event will be played from 6th March to 17th March in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The teen was a quarter-finalist at last year’s event.
But given her results in the past few months, she is a big favorite for the title this year. But while her competitors were preparing for their matches, Gauff was busy serving looks in Los Angeles.

Having been recently named in the list of TIME Women of the Year 2024, Gauff walked the red carpet at the Gala. The reigning US Open champ is the only athlete to be included in the prestigious list this year. In the last three years, she has been the only tennis player to make the list.
The 19-year-old had made quite a few statements during the Black Lives Matter protests following the murder of George Floyd in 2020. She even spoke at a public protest while carrying the protest symbol and taking the knee. Her activism along with her on-court success saw her earn the honor from TIME.
Gauff wore a custom Prada gown that is said to be inspired by her looks on the court. She has often experimented with her outfits in terms of color and design. The teen is one of the very few tennis players in history to have their shoe line. Gauff’s sponsor New Balance has created one for her.
Coco Gauff will look for the Indian Wells title as her birthday gift
Gauff will celebrate her 20th birthday on 13th March 2024. This will coincide with the Indian Wells. With the American a big favorite for the title, fans can expect her to celebrate her birthday with a win in the tennis paradise.

She shot to fame as a 15-year-old when she stunned Venus Williams in the first round of the 2019 Wimbledon. Since then, she has always been referred to as a ‘teen champion’ and prodigy. But she is finally about to put an end to the tag of a ‘teen’ and surprisingly is quite excited about it.
It’s crazy to think that I’m not going to be a teenager anymore. So much of my career, people have called me the teenaged this, teenaged that. At first, I was scared to grow up. But now I’m embracing adulthood. There’s always going to be change needed in this world. I hope I can play a small part.Said Gauff speaking with TIME.
Gauff will start her campaign in Indian Wells from the second round having received a bye in the first. She will take on the winner of the duel between Xinyu Wang and Clara Burel.
