Coco Gauff, fresh off a significant victory over Maria Sakkari, is preparing for her semi-final matchup at the China Open 2023. She expects it to be a difficult battle against Iga Swiatek.

But I’m really focused & excited to play tomorrow.” While speaking about the match in Cincinnati, she recalled her match with world No. 2 at the Cincinnati Masters, which was indeed a difficult semi-final that went onto the third set, with the American winning by a close margin.

Coco Gauff described her straight-set victory over Maria Sakkari. The teenage celebrity stated that the match was as comfortable as she had hoped. She said it had nothing to do with Sakkari.

Gauff said, “There were shots that I was making — not that I was surprised I was making them, but probably as consistently. I think today was just one of those days where I felt comfortable. It has nothing to do with how Maria played.”

The 19-year-old thought the world No.6 was a tough opponent and made some amazing shots but they didn’t stir the tennis star. The world No.3 stated that when she got onto the court, she knew she was going to win. The American claimed she felt at ease and wasn’t astonished by her ability to make shots.
