Current World No. 6, Coco Gauff, believes it is good that his father is getting to spend more time with the family at home as she has her coach with her on the tour. “Now that I’m getting older, I have Diego (her coach) helping me, I kind of say you don’t have to be here every week,” Gauff explained.

“It was taking a toll on the whole family in general. I’m thankful for my brothers, I never felt that pressure, they know why my dad can’t be there. He decided to come this week. My mom was actually going to go back. She decided she wanted to see Dubai, so she stayed. There will definitely be more tradeoffs happening this year. Also since my brother is entering high school, he needs, like, a dad figure. Every son needs their dad’.

After defeating Keys in the quarterfinals in Dubai, Gauff will lock horns with the World No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the last-four stage. Though the Pole is a huge favorite against the American star, Gauff is feeling no pressure. She is focusing to enjoy the game as much as she can.
