Coco Gauff gushes on social media after being on the Vogue cover for their latest issue. The American star made Vogue’s cover for their April issue with lots of photoshoots.

Gauff became a celebrated figure in sports since clinching her first Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open. The teenager defeated Aryna Sabalenka to become the youngest American after Serena Williams in 1999 to win the New York-based major title.

On Instagram, Gauff had posted a series of Vogue magazine photoshoots. On different glittering dresses, the American looked stunningly different from an on-court match kit. She then thanked Vogue for the remarkable opportunity. However, it was a post on her Instagram story that caught the attention of fans, as she gushed over being on the cover of Vogue.

I’m on the cover of Vogue, how is that a real sentence?!

Gauff is following in the footsteps of her idol Serena Williams, who was on the Vogue cover for the September 2022 issue, weeks after announcing her retirement. Also, the likes of Novak Djokovic and Bob Bryan have been featured on Vogue’s cover.

Pam Shriver admires Coco Gauff’s competitive spirit

Pam Shriver has admitted that she admires Coco Gauff’s competitive spirit, even when she is not playing well. The 19-year-old American began the 2024 season on a high, winning the Auckland Classic title and reaching the Australian Open semi-final.

In recent weeks, the American teenager’s form has declined. She shockingly lost to Katerina Siniakova in the first round of the Qatar Open and to Anna Kalinskaya in the quarterfinals in Dubai. Despite her recent form, she has demonstrated on several occasions how determined she is to win titles. The teenager defeated Aryna Sabalenka at the 2023 US Open to win her first major title.

The one thing I’m always impressed with, no matter how she’s playing, she rolls up her sleeves and is willing to get in the trenches. You only do that if you’re a natural competitor. There are two major parts to Coco’s game: the mental game and her court speed. Speed, defense, and attitude are pretty doggone good. That wins you a lot of matches, even if you’re not playing your best tennis.
Shriver told WTATennis.com.

Gauff would be hoping to turn the tide around in the Indian Wells. In recent times, she has performed better in tournaments at home than in competitions in other countries.
