Coco Gauff looks to make a mark at the Qatar Open after losing in the semifinal of the AO.

Recently, Coco Gauff attended the 2024 Qatar Open player’s party. She was there with various other prominent WTA stars such as Iga Swiatek and Naomi Osaka. Gauff will be entering the Qatar Open as the doubles champion. Last time she won the title with Jessica Pegula. Ahead of the WTA 1000 tournament, various players were caught on camera giving interviews.
In the interview, the American was asked about how she feels about coming back to Qatar again. To which, Gauff said:
I notice, you know more people and tourists right now. I know the Asian Games are going on right now in football. Last year was like post World Cup and definitely there is something different right now. I feel there is always construction right now. Every time I see a new tower and they build things so fast. Gauff’s opponent for the Round of 32 of the Qatar Open is still to be decided. The tournament kicks off on 13th February. She will enter the tournament as one of the favorites to win the title.
Coco Gauff eyes Qatar Open after an Australian Open debacle
After a superb end to the 2023 season, where she won her first Grand Slam, Gauff started off the 2024 season with a bang.
Firstly, she won the ASB Classic in Auckland, in which she beat Elina Svitolina in the finals of the tournament. It was a dominant win for the American, as throughout the tournament she dropped just one set.

Then, at the Australian Open, she reached the semis of the tournament without dropping a set until the quarterfinals. In the semis of the tournament, she lost to the eventual winner, Aryna Sabalenka, in straight sets. Thus, after a semifinal loss at the Grand Slam, the American will be eying the Qatar Open.
