The NBA All-Star weekend saw Stephen Curry take on Sabrina Ionescu in a very unique and groundbreaking 3-point NBA Challenge.
The fact that the best 3-point shooters from the NBA and the WNBA faced off against each other on such a massive platform is exemplary for other sports as well. And interestingly enough, American tennis player Coco Gauff wants something similar in tennis as well.
As per the young talent herself, she would love to see Serena Williams and Nick Kyrgios go head-to-head in a serve-target challenge and Ons Jabeur take on Carlos Alcaraz in a drop-shot challenge.
Serve targets. I would have loved to see somebody maybe like Serena and Nick go toe to toe in that serve challenge. There's also the dropshot. Ons and Carlos would be a cool matchup against that. She said. (Source: France 24)
That’s not all; the youngster is of the opinion that man-versus-woman matches like these should continue because they humble a lot of men who underestimate women.
I just hope they continue to do this. It just humbles a lot of men in the world. I really like that.Continuing further, she added
Talking about the faceoff between Curry and Ionescu, the Golden State Warriors point guard won 29-26. However, Sabrina Ionescu deserves much praise because the shots were taken from the NBA three-point line, which is farther away from the WNBA’s three-point line. The New York Liberty guard played well even outside of her comfort zone.
