American tennis sensation Coco Gauff set the internet on fire by stating that she has a boyfriend who helped her calm her nerves down the night before the finals showdown. Playing in the finals of the US Open was a huge deal, and it added extra pressure that the whole nation was rooting for her to win. 

Coco Gauff beat to be World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a roller-coaster of a game which set the tennis fans applauding. In the post-match interview, she shared insights about her wild thoughts about envisioning the trophy and how she had managed to keep calm.“ I told myself to get it outta my head because that is what I did in French. I was envisioning myself you know what would happen if I were to win and I wanted it too much and last night I started to think a little bit,” said Gauff.

The 19-year-old American created history by becoming the youngest American since 1999 to win the US Open. She was thrilled about winning the prestigious title and shared her thoughts while hugging her family. “ Honestly nothing,” laughed Coco, but she later revealed that her parents were also in tears. “I have never seen that man cry and my mom, I knew she was going to cry regardless if I won or lost,” shared how she saw tears in her dad’s eyes.
