Knowing the limitations of her body, the Dane has made changes accordingly to play the sport at this age. She said that she is “no spring chicken anymore” and needs to be more diligent with what she does from now on.

I don't know. I think about where I thought it was going to be. But obviously I'm no spring chicken anymore, so my body, I just need to be careful with it, treat it accordingly. I think that's what I've learned in the off-season, to be really diligent with everything that I do.

After years of grinding through tournaments and getting the results, Wozniacki decided to be careful with what she does and how she does it.

I think that's the main thing. I've played for so many years, been able to push my body to the brink almost every day for that whole time. Now just I really got to be more careful with what I do and how I do things.

Novak Djokovic is another player going strong at 36 with his fitness levels and tennis skills. As one of the only players with a short injury list, Serbia has become an icon for fitness and continues to expand his fanbase for his fitness levels.

Like Djokovic, Wozniacki is also trying to maintain her work according to her body and hopefully can get back her lost rankings.

After a walkthrough in her first round at the Australian Open, the Dane now plays a qualifier Maria Timofeeva who fought her way through to the second round.
