The debate about the GOAT of tennis is never-ending no matter how much the experts or even the players want. The Big Three of tennis- Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic will always be subjected to criticism by each other’s fan clubs. The fans of each of these three players try to declare their favorite as the GOAT.
While Roger Federer’s fans call him the Greatest of All Time for the impact he left on fellow players, Nadal fans hail the Spaniard for his supremacy on clay courts. Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic fans declare the Serbian as the GOAT of tennis for his 24 Grand Slam titles.
Amid this debate, an account on X brought up a crazy stat that involved Federer and Djokovic. The user highlighted the fact that Federer won only one Grand Slam final against Djokovic and that too when the Serbian was playing his first-ever Grand Slam final.
This fact gave Djokovic fans a lead as they went on to declare the 36-year-old as the GOAT. The Serbian’s fans claimed that “Djokovic owned Federer”.
Crazy stat. Djokovic owns Federer.

A few more fans also joined the bandwagon and celebrated Djokovic.
Meanwhile, a few Roger Federer fans hit back saying that Djokovic could only win against Federer when the Swiss was past his prime.
Novak Djokovic leads the head-to-head record against Roger Federer in Grand Slam finals
As the post above pointed out, Novak Djokovic lost to Roger Federer in a Grand Slam final only once. The two players met each other in a Grand Slam final four times after that and Djokovic won all of them. In the eleven Grand Slam semifinals played between them, Novak Djokovic emerged victorious in seven.
The Serbian also dominated Federer in the ATP Finals final played. Djokovic won all three finals played between him and Federer at the ATP Finals. In the overall head-to-head record, Djokovic leads Federer 27-23.
However, it is worth mentioning that Djokovic’s majority of wins over Federer came only after 2010, when (as it is claimed by Federer fans) the Swiss was past his prime. Till 2010, Federer led Djokovic 13-6.
