Sara Bejlek, the 16-year-old has been in sensational form going into the US Open this year, having competed in the qualifiers of the tournament at the Flushing Meadows, the Czech professional has made it into the main draw of the final major tournament of the season after winning every match at the qualifying stages.

Bejlek played against Kristina Mladenovic in the first round of the qualifiers, Priscilla Hon in the second round, and finally Heather Watson in the final qualifier. After winning the qualifiers, Bejlek has made it into the main draw of the US Open where she will be going up against Ludmilla Samsonova in the first round.

Tennis Twitter reacts to Sara Bejlek’s coach’s inappropriate celebration

Playing through her last qualifier, Bejlek played against Heather Watson yesterday as the Czech professional emerged victorious over three sets as she won the match by 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 to make her way into the main draw of the US Open. The highlight of the match, however, was Bejlek’s coach celebrating with her after the win which was deemed inappropriate by fans on Twitter.

Bejlek walked over to her coaching staff which included her father as well after winning the qualifier of the US Open, where her coach hugging her inappropriately caught the attention of fans all over social media and the public urged the authorities to address this situation in a serious manner.

One fan wrote, “The WTA needs to look into these especially since these young girls are traveling w men from a very young age. also yall can say it’s the dad or WTV but does your dad touch your bum like that.”

Sara Bejlek could face Leylah Fernandez in the second round of the tournament if she manages to beat Ludmilla Samsonova in the main draws starting tomorrow. After making it into the event, Sara Bejlek is the youngest player in the tournament with 4 singles titles in her career. She is currently ranked world number 209 and will make a few good leaps if she performs well.
