“Daddy doesn’t need to cheat” Twitteratis take a dig at Stefanos Tsitsipas for getting an easy draw at the French Open

Stefanos Tsitsipas

World No. 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas will surely be ecstatic at the moment after the draw ceremony of the 2022 French Open was concluded. Seeded 4th in the second Grand Slam of the season, the Greek who was the runner-up in last year’s edition looks certain for another great run this year after seeing the draw results.

With the heavyweights, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz all seeded in the same half, the road to finals is wide open for Stefanos whose real challenge in the current form is 8th seed Casper Ruud who is his potential quarter-final opponent based on the seedings. Apart from Ruud, no real threat persists for the Greek at the moment and presents him a fantastic chance to make it to his second major finals.

The winner of the potential quarter-final clash between Rafa and Novak will take on the victorious player from the match between Zverev and Alcaraz in the semi-finals. With Stef expected to make it to the finals, he is likely to take on a player who will be coming through very difficult clashes and fatigue could play a vital role which makes life further easy for Stef.

While Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev are present in the half with Stef, their track record on Clay has not been great which is another benefit for the Greek youngster who comes into the major with great preparation having defended his title at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters and finished as the runner-up in last week’s 2022 Rome Masters. However, Stef found himself in the crossfire of fans not happy with the draw and as a result took a dig at the Greek for rigging the draw while others congratulated for winning the major already.
