American WTA player Danielle Collins has talked about the difference in people’s perspectives towards men’s and women’s sports. The 30-year-old claimed that people label her as an emotional player while her male counterparts who have a similar temperament walk away without any criticism.
Collins claimed that it is a society’s problem that men and women are viewed differently. The American also said that there is a lot to improve.

Sometimes people only think about my history, but it's a shame because I do many excellent things on the court both from the both mentally and physically. I tend to focus on my emotions. I'm often labeled an emotional player. Men are never described or defined that way. It is a problem of society, the way in which women's sport is described is very different if we compare it with men's sport. Danielle Collins talks about cohesion in WTA locker room
Danielle Collins also talked about her diagnosis and confessed that her colleagues have been her greatest support. The 30-year-old claimed that there is great cohesion among the players in the WTA locker room. Collins revealed how her fellow players reacted when she opened up about her diagnosis.

Danielle Collins says that it is uncommon for someone of her age to get diagnosed with diseases like endometriosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
After I talked about my cases of endometriosis and rheumatoid arthritis, many people affected by the same problems contacted me to support me. For many people, it comes as a surprise that a professional of my age comes into contact with these health problems. I confess that my colleagues have been my greatest support. There is great cohesion within the WTA locker room.Danielle Collins claimed.
Notably, the American WTA player recently announced that this season would be her last. Collins said that although she has had a small career, she has enjoyed her time on the tour and now wants to try her hands on something else.
But before she hangs up her racket, Collins is giving it all. The 30-year-old is competing at tournaments with intensity and although wins have been hard to come by, Collins is fighting. After a second-round exit from the 2024 Australian Open, Collins reached the quarterfinals in Qatar.
She also beat Naomi Osaka at the Abu Dhabi Open. Currently, Collins is competing at the ATX Open where she has reached the second round.
