Daniil Medvedev believes Sebastian Korda was at advantage with the courts of Shanghai Masters as the Russian makes his feelings clear on the matter

Daniil Medvedev opened up about his Shanghai Masters by Sebastian Korda in a post-match interview. The Russian believes Korda had an advantage due to the conditions of the court.
Despite a solid effort, Medvedev was defeated, and he blamed this on the tiebreaker that did not go in his favor eventually. He said, “Korda played well. I should have won the tiebreak but I didn’t. That’s the biggest difference”
Medvedev did not hold back in expressing his thoughts on the circumstances, hinting that the court may have favored his opponent. He went on to say, “It’s not all about the court, but I think the conditions maybe favored him a little bit. He was fast enough to hit winners, but slow enough to have time to set up his shot. So I think yes, it was good for him,” while speaking to the press.
Medvedev stressed that his defeat was not only due to court circumstances. As per him he got used to it by playing the day before which might have helped him to adaptto the court dynamics. He also acknowledged the fact that he played better in this match. While a court may always favor one player over another, the Russian claimed that it was not the deciding reason for his defeat.
Daniil Medvedev thrashes his racket as he lost in the Shanghai Masters
The 2023 Shanghai Masters witnessed a stunning upset as World No. 26 Korda defeated World No. 3 Medvedev. The latter’s frustrations were on display. After losing the match, he aggressively smashed the racket the court.

This was Korda’s second victory over Medvedev, giving the him a 2-1 edge in their head-to-head series. Earlier Korda’s secured a victory in Australian Open in January over Medvedev, establishing him as a serious opponent for the Russian.
Medvedev’s Shanghai Masters campaign was cut short in the third round due to a variety of issues. He struggled with four double faults and a return rating of 52, which fell short in comparison to Korda’s outstanding 159. Moreover, he could only generate 17 wins during the match.
During the match, Medvedev’s displeasure was clearly visible, especially in the second set. Medvedev angrily smashed his racket into the side chair not once, but three times. His anger took hold of him as he expressed his frustration over his unanticipated loss.
