Daniil Medvedev clarifies his decision for refusing anymore practice sessions with Carlos Alcaraz
Daniil Medvedev gives his thoughts regarding his practice session with Carlos Alcaraz ahead of the Canadian Open.

Two top stars of the tennis world at the moment, Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz are among the players who fans would expect to face each other at a cup semi-final or final. But something interesting took place as both of them were seen practising with each other ahead of their Canadian Open first-round matchup. Both of the players have faced each other a couple of times in the past and know a lot about one another’s attributes.
This allowed both players to take a moment out of their aggressive behavior when they usually face one another. Both the stars were seen enjoying a great time along with each other and the Rusaian had his share of thoughts about the incident. Daniil was asked about how he enjoyed training with World No.1 and if they both will share the practice session again in the future.
He said, “For sure, we’re not going to practice too often because hopefully, we can play finals, semi-finals, and more to come like two times this year already. So usually you don’t try this every day with your rivals, but it can happen once, twice, three times per year. And it was again [a] great practice. I think we both enjoyed it.” The pair last met at the recently played at the semi-finals of the Wimbledon Championships with Carlos picking up a straight sets victory over the Russ.
How will Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz carry forward the torch of the sport?

Now that the talk of the Big 3 has been almost over, the sport needs some torch-bearers to take to sport to its new heights. There has been a new range of stars who are coming down the ranks trying to express themselves with their intensive skillsets on the court. And Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev are one of the very few names who are expected to make it really big in the coming time. Both of them have already picked up Grand Slams titles to showcase their hard work so early in their career.
Among all the probable next gen-stars, they are the only players to lift a Slam till this point. They will be adamant to bank on their experience and win as many titles as possible.
Medvedev has won the 2021 US Open which was his maiden and only Grand Slam up until this point. And on the other hand, Alcaraz has picked up the 2022 US Open and the recently played Wimbledon Championships.
