Medvedev had quite a heavy fall in his final match against Novak Djokovic at the US Open. He talked about how he was pondering about the possibility of the fall being a dangerous one.

“Actually, when the moment I fell, I was, like, Man, this could have been not dangerous but I could have hurt myself, “ said the Russian. He also mentioned another problem he had during the second set. He said the pain was increasing rapidly in the third set.

However, Medvedev also said that he would not blame his loss on the pain he was experiencing. He said that maybe if he would have won the second set, the pain would have been reduced. But with the constant failures he took, the pain was increasing exponentially, according to Medvedev.
