While the off-season tournaments are still going on, the big names are currently having their work cut out at the World Tennis League held in. With top players such as Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz playing against one another, something really funny took place after their match that has got the whole tennis industry talking.
It was the third day of the World Tennis League, and with the finalists of the competition already determined, Fritz endured a significant win over Medvedev after losing his last two games. With Fritz’s team’s chances of making it to the finals almost fading away, Fritz pulled off a great win to revive the possibilities.
Having lost his last two games against Casper Ruud and Grigor Dimitrov by a margin of 1-6 and 3-6, respectively, the American left the former US Open champion in absolute shock with his performance, which was completely different from that of the first two matchdays.

How did Taylor Fritz and Daniil Medvedev fare this season?
Both Taylor Fritz and Daniil Medvedev have produced great results on the court this year, setting an absolute example. They both ended the year on a high note, winning some titles and also finishing off in the ATP Top 10 rankings.
Medvedev made it to the finals of nine tournaments and ended up converting them into five titles at the Dubai Championships, the Qatar Open, the Miami Masters, the Rotterdam Open, and the Rome Masters.
On the other hand, Fritz didn’t have the most breakthrough years by any means this season but still managed to get a total of 2 titles at the Atlanta Open and the Delray Beach Open.
Fritz failed to play in the much-awaited end-season tournament, the ATP Finals, due to injuries, thereby missing the opportunity to fare against the top players of this season in an all-classic showdown.
