Dope-banned Tara Moore accuses Novak Djokovic-led PTPA of bias over Simona Halep doping fiasco

Tara Moore was the best doubles player in Britain at the time of her suspension in June of 2022. So, understandably she felt disgusted when Romanian former World No.1 Simona Halep took away most of the spotlight with her own doping ban a few weeks ago.
Now, Moore has come out and criticized the Novak Djokovic-led Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) for their quick promise of support to Halep while at the same time ignoring the needs of players like her and Barbara Gatica, who was also similarly suspended in recent times.
“Do the PTPA help other players that are named in the ITIA website or do they just fight for former Grand Slam Champions like Halep? Haven’t seen this statement for others?” a user recently wrote on Twitter to which Moore said, “Their silence tells you everything.”
“The PTPA is committed to ensuring that Simona Halep, and every player, has a fair appeal and complete due process. We will fight for her rights and look to advocate for fairness and transparency for all players,” a recent statement from the organization formed to look a players’ welfare had read.
When Patrick McEnroe added method to mystery with Simona Halep “never said she didn’t take roxadustat” argument

After former World No.1 Halep was provisionally banned for doping, many tennis players, both former and current have expressed their views on the ongoing controversy, in addition to those close to the Romanian for family or personal reasons.
In one such response, doubles great Patrick McEnroe added more mystery to Halep’s doping controversy by pointing out that she hasn’t yet admitted to not taking roxadustat, and has only spoken about not having taken any prohibited substance “knowingly.”
The logic is quite interesting considering Halep hasn’t plainly denied not taking the drug so far despite vouching for her honesty and integrity all along.
“As far as I know her, she is an extremely polite and kind person, but again, that has nothing to do with whether she actually took the drug or not. She doesn’t say she didn’t take the doping product. At least in her comment she says she never knowingly took a banned substance,” McEnroe recently deduced in his podcast.
What do you think about the whole controversy? Did Simona Halep knowingly or unknowingly consume banned substances? Should she be punished or not? Please let us know your views in the comments section.
