Serbian tennis icon Novak Djokovic’s entry into the Indian Wells Masters is still uncertain even as the tournament is approaching fast. His unvaccinated status could bar him from entering the tournament restrictions imposed by the US government are still in place. The 35-year-old has applied for the exemption but a clear picture is yet to emerge.

Many of the tennis pundits, including Prakash Amritraj, see his participation as difficult. The former tennis star explained earlier how grating an exemption to the 22-time Grand Slam champion will be a tricky situation. Djokovic, on his part, has been mum on the issue.

Though there are some speculations about the Serb making a statement about the same in his upcoming press conference. Last year as well, he was unable to feature in the hard-court events of Miami and Indian Wells due to the vaccine mandate. With the restrictions still in place until at least May 11, It is highly likely that Djokovic will miss yet again.
