The 2022 Wimbledon champion, Elena Rybakina, will next be seen playing at the Billie Jean King Cup in Seville as she battles a back injury simultaneously. She is one of the many players who came out injured after playing in the WTA Finals in Cancun, Mexico.
As she prepares to represent her country at the Billie Jean King Cup, Elena Rybakina gets emotional while talking about the contribution of her parents in her life. Speaking about how she had already been preparing for professional tennis since her childhood, she said:
My parents, they took really good decisions. They helped me a lot. Well, when I was young, I knew that I was going to be a professional. It was quite easy on me.
The 2023 Australian Open finalist also talked about how she had a normal childhood and that it was nothing different from others, given her preparations for professional tennis. Elena Rybakina stated:
I think I had a normal childhood at school and with my friends.
Elena Rybakina got emotional while she talked about her parents, especially her mother, who played a monumental role in getting her where she is now. Speaking about how attached she is to her mother, World No. 4 mentioned:
My mom is someone who I looked up [to]. There are tough moments and tough decisions and my parents especially mom, are the one who helps me a lot.
Elena Rybakina will play the Billie Jean King Cup finals, fighting a back injury at the same time
The WTA Finals in Cancun, Mexico, this year was far from smooth. The poor court and playing conditions, along with the bad timing of the matches, did not sit well with a lot of players.
Many of them ended up suffering from injuries and sprains as the tournament came to an end. Elena Rybakina also suffered back injuries, which will create a problem for her as she will represent her country in the finals of the Billie Jean King Cup.
Elena Rybakina’s fans and teammates will definitely hope for a quick recovery, as she is one of the main and top players in the Kazakhstan contingency who can lead their team to victory in the finals of the Billie Jean King Cup in Seville.
