The two tennis stars who married each other back in 2021 are both in the draw for the Australian Open. The 29-year-old took a break for about one year from tennis and came back in April last season.

Skai is here with us. It was a long trip all the way from Europe, first New Zealand & now here. I'm happy that I brought her with me. I had some trips without her, like Wimbledon, for example. To US Open, as well, she didn't come.
Svitolina said in the interview.

Svitolina has had a great start to the season so far, reaching the finals of the ASB Classic in Auckland. In the Australian Open, too, Svitolina convincingly beat Taylah Preston in straight sets to reach the second round of the tournament.

But now since she's already 1 year & 4 months, you know, it's a little easier with long flights. Even though it was not easy for us because she got very sick the day before we left, so we had to push back the flight.

With this superb form and momentum, the former World No. 3 will be one of the top contenders for the title at Melbourne Park.

She has a decent record in Australia, reaching the quarterfinals three consecutive times in 2018 and 2019. The Ukrainian will face Viktoriya Tomova in the second round of the tournament.
