2021 US Open Champion, Emma Raducanu has been out of form ever since she won her first Grand Slam. The Brit has been out of action since April and is talking about giving importance to the Olympic games as well other than the slams.

Emma Raducanu, in an interview with the BBC, stated her desire to make her debut at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Talking about competing at the Olympics, the Briton stated:

Obviously, the Olympics is such a big thing in sport. I think I could play another four if I really wanted to, so this one isn't the immediate rush or pressure.

Emma Raducanu has not played much tennis this year. Hence it will be tough to know if she will qualify for the Olympics next year in Paris. As per the qualification criteria set by the Olympic authority, the top 56 players in the World rankings under the singles category as of 10 June 2024 WTA and ATP will qualify for the Paris Olympics next year.

Emma Raducanu mentioned that she was not in a hurry to play the next Olympics as she is still young and can feature in 4 others later on as well. However, her main priority right now is coming back to court. Raducanu added:

It's just about getting back on court. I love the Slams but I do want to have the Olympic experience. I'll just see how it goes, if I even qualify and how it goes from there.

Emma Raducanu will make a comeback in the 2024 season

The 2021 US Open Champion has had an injury-plagued season this entire year. She has been out of action since April. Emma Raducanu also withdrew from the Billie Jean King Cup as she was still recovering from a surgery that she had recently undergone. The Brit is determined to comeback on court as she is frequently hitting the gym and posting pictures of herself on her social media updating people on her progressing fitness.

Emma Raducanu will next play an exhibition event at Macau where she will slowly start making a comeback to professional tennis. She will aim to compete at the 2024 Australian Open with full health and fitness.
