Teenage sensation and British star Emma Raducanu has been sidelined with injury for quite a while, last playing at the Stuttgart Open way back in mid-April. She missed crucial Grand Slam tournaments: the French Open and the Wimbledon Championship, due to being unable to recover in time and not being in the best shape as well.
After spending a great vacation along with her rumored boyfriend, Carlo Agostinelli, thereby posting several pictures on Instagram, she has now jumped back into recovering and is back in her best shape. She has recently posted a video where she has begun hitting the gym to work on her flexibility and endurance. We all know she is trying hard to become fit before the US Open, the competition that made her the star she is today, way back in 2021.
She has been under constant pressure for her performances following that competition, not being able to live up to the expectations of her fans. She has struggled for form since then, and injuries have taken their toll on her as well. With many pundits even stating her as a “one-slam wonder”, it will not be long until she’s turned into some forgotten star.
What’s going wrong with the British star?
With several injuries, Emma Raducanu has been sidelined for a long time and that has been the story for several months now. She is also struggling to find her 2021 form but is unable to do so and fans are trying to figure out the reason for her downfall. Raducanu has been hailed as a future superstar by many pundits after her inclusion into the sport way back in 2021 but since then she has been battling to stay fit.
It is evident that she is not in the right mindset as well having tried to figure out ways of recovering from injuries and so on. Becoming a champion at such a small age, not only has she been suffering from on-court problems, but she has also been associated with several bad decisions away from the court. These decisions have been pivotal in breaking the momentum she has been trying to build on for a long time now.
