Max Eisenbud, Emma Raducanu‘s agent, has categorically denied rumors that sponsors would cut relations with the young tennis sensation owing to her recent poor performance on the court. Even though Raducanu has faced a difficult period since her triumphant victory at the US Open in 2021, her sponsors have shown steadfast support.

After her US Open victory, the 20-year-old has struggled to recover her form and experienced reoccurring wrist and ankle ailments. Eisenbud, on the other hand, emphasized that none of Raducanu‘s sponsors have raised any reservations about her performance, with each maintaining their steady support for the young Briton.

He claimed in a recent statement, “None of her sponsors have ever called up and been like ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe she’s not winning!’. No one. The sponsors couldn’t have been more supportive, even through the injury. I know people want to say that the narrative, the big bad IMG is bringing in all this money and making them take deals but we’re a pretty well-established company, we’re not living and dying on commission.”

Raducanu is handled by IMG, who just acquired Andy Murray‘s services when he left his own management group. The company owns three ATP Tour events and has a large customer base, but Eisenbud has been quick to dismiss allegations that they are pushing for more brands for financial advantage.

Amid the tremendous media spotlight on Emma Raducanu, her agent, Max Eisenbud, has called attention to a lesser-known part of her exceptional young career: her family’s essential role in managing her quick rise to popularity while ensuring she received a decent education. Eisenbud complimented Raducanu’s family for their handling of her journey to becoming a US Open champion in a recent episode of The Tennis Podcast.

According to him, the family deserves more recognition for their involvement and support. He revealed that the young player was still in regular school when she made her breakthrough at Wimbledon.

I don’t think Emma Raducanu’s family received enough credit for how they handled her preparations for her Wimbledon and US Open victories. Here’s a girl who never went to a tennis academy and stayed in regular school her entire career,” he said.
