Emma Raducanu‘s agent Max Eisenbud has urged the British tennis player’s critics to not be malicious when talking about her. Max admitted on the Served by Andy Roddick podcast that Raducanu is still figuring things out.

Since the 21-year-old Briton’s unprecedented achievement at the 2021 US Open, her best result was reaching the Seoul tournament semifinals in 2022. With several injuries that have left her sidelined for months, the tennis player seems to be struggling to regain form.

Last year, she underwent surgeries that kept her out of the entire season. Despite the problems, the media have criticized her for not doing her best to play again. In the 2024 comeback season, she has yet to get past the second round of five tournaments she has played.

However, her agent has stood by her, insisting that the media should stop being malicious to the youngster. Believing that with time and less attention, she could get to her best.

Overall I think the media has done a really good job, especially the British media because that’s not easy. I just think people should not be malicious. But I think just don’t be malicious to her because the girl did everything backward. She skipped every step. She won the US Open, she went to the next tournament, she didn’t even know where the player lounge was, she didn’t know where the practice courts were, she didn’t know where anything was.
Eisenbud said

With that being said, Emma Raducanu will for sure find form, but that will only take time. The present may be difficult to tell, but with hard work and persistent perseverance, she would overcome. However, she’s still figuring it out; it’s very hard to do what she did.

Emma Raducanu is yet to reveal the next tournament

Emma Raducanu has yet to reveal her next tournament since she withdrew from the WTA 1000 in Dubai. The former US Open champion is now No. 103 in the WTA rankings after not getting past the second round of any tournament this year.

Determined to find her form after a poor display in Abu Dhabi, the British star revealed that she would reschedule as she returned to the UK to train.

I think that I need to kind of schedule my tournaments a bit better as well as just trying to get some more matches under my belt. I think that I’m just going to go home and practice and we’ll see where it goes from there.
She stated.

With the India Wells Masters starting on March 6, the Briton looks likely not to compete. Except, that she is given a wildcard into the tournament.
