Emma Raducanu recently marked her return to the sport with her appearance at the 2024 ASB Classic. After staying away from the courts for eight months due to multiple injury concerns, Raducanu made a comeback victory in the opening round of the event.

Despite showing much promise, the Brit might not be out of dangerous waters yet with speculations of another injury pooling all over the social media channels, prompting fans to react to the potential occurrence of one.

On Tuesday, January 2 Emma Raducanu made her first-ever appearance in a competitive tournament after undergoing three corrective surgeries. The Brit gained a wild card entry into the ATP 250 tournament and squared off against qualifier and Romanian tennis pro Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the first round.

After a hard-fought battle that lasted three sets, the 21-year-old downed the Romanian to capture her first victory since March 2023. Earlier in the 2023 season, Raducanu went under the knife to get multiple surgeries for her ankle and wrist. However, injury concerns might still be looming over the former World No. 1 after a recent post of the Brit surfaced with a bandage on her thigh.

In an Instagram story posted by the 21-year-old, Raducanu was witnessed in an on-court practice session with a bandaged thigh. Naturally, this alarmed fans with the speculation of another injury that could hamper performance, including her upcoming scheduled appearance at the Australian Open.
