Frances Tiafoe has arguably played his best tennis this week winning all matches in 3-sets en route to the finals. Of the four matches so far, the American had lost the opening set in two matches but rallied back to come out as the winner. Up against compatriot Sebastian Korda in the semis, Tiafoe saved multiple match points to claim a thrilling 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-2 win in a match that almost touched the 3-hour mark. This will be Frances’ first finals of the season.

Sebastian Baez brought his amazing form in the semi-finals as well taking out defending champion Albert-Ramos Vinolas with a 6-3, 6-7(7), 6-0 win over the Spaniard. Unlike Frances, Baez won his first-round match in straight-sets but since then all have been 3-setters. The win over Vinolas takes the Argentine into his second final of the season having earlier finished as the runner-up in Santiago earlier this season.
