Eugenie Bouchard, former world number 5 expresses her sadness as the American NFL star Tom Brady‘s announced about getting a dicorce with his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. This news took the world by a storm since rumors had been doing the rounds for quite sometime. After much speculation, the couple confirmed their split where they are ending their marriage of 13 long years.

The American broke the news about the split on his official social media account stating it was a mutual decison between the two. He expressed his sadness about taking the most fifficult decision of his life. However he even stated that it was neccessary keeping in mind the best interest of both the individuals as they wish nothing but the best for each other in the future.

As soon as the news broke out, the 2014 Wimbledon finalist reacted to the news of the split. She shared a story on her social media on Instgram showcasing her dissapointment where she reshared the post annoucing the split between Brady and Bundchen. She reacted with an “crying” face emoji to it.

Eugenie Bouchard has been quite inconcistent with her performances on the WTA Tour with her injury being the main area of concern for her to miss out on tournaments. During her recovery time, she was one of the commentators on the Tennis Channel but revealed that she missed being on the courts and always felt the need to be back on the court soon.

The 2014 Australian Open semmifinalist was out of action for almost a year and half due to a shoulder injury and futher recovery and rehabilitation. She even opened up on the lost time where she took up new challenges to stay motivated and keep the hopes alive to stand a chance to keep playing for few more years before she puts down her racquet for the final time.

She is looking for a WTA title since 2014. She has even failed to go past the Round of 32 at most of the tournaments with her best performance of the season was at the Chennai Open where she managed to reach the quater-finals.
