American legend Serena Williams is one of the greatest players in the sport. She clinched 23 singles Grand Slam titles, the most by a player in the Open Era. The retired player has played a major role in popularizing women’s tennis in the past two decades. She has won 7 singles titles and 4 doubles titles at the Australian Open. But her title win at Down Under in 2017 has been the talk of the town because it showed her resilience, hard work, and dedication.

She played her final tournament at the US Open, the same place where she won her first singles major title way back in 1999. Williams announced her retirement from the competitive sport through an article published in the leading magazine Vogue. She is one of the few tennis players who has won each Grand Slam title a minimum of three times.

The former World No 1 dominated the WTA for quite a time. The retired American appeared in 8 finals in Australia. But lost only once that came in 2016. Also, her last Australian Open was epic in many ways as it was her 23rd major title and made her return to the No 1 rank. The most interesting part is that when she won the title, she was pregnant with her first child. Moreover, the 41-year-old player did not inform anyone during the course of the tournament.

She revealed her pregnancy later in the year and it left everyone startled. Because it was deduced that she was already eight weeks pregnant during the win at the Australian Open. It amazed everyone about her mental strength. During the reality game show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire ‘, this same incident was brought up in the form of a question. But the choices of the question grabbed eyeballs on social media. The choices of the question involved the retired Swiss player Roger Federer, Andy Murray, and John McEnroe along with Serena Williams.

People on social media got startled by the nature of the question. They hilariously mocked the makers of the quiz show for the absurd choices given to the person on the hot seat. The mentioned players in the question were Federer, Murray, and McEnroe. Fans pointed out that there is no relevance in mentioning male players’ names in the question revolving around Serena‘s pregnancy. Fans further criticized the makers for indirectly making fun of women and the options are totally irrelevant to whatever is asked.
