Nick Kyrgios along with his doubles partner, Thanasi Kokkinakis qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals in the doubles category, much to the delight of his viewers. The Aussie doubles pair created history to win the Australian Open as the first wildcard pairing in the Open Era. However, despite showcasing a phenomenal performance in the double category, he could not qualify for the ATP Finals in the singles. And that’s precisely why the tennis star is not satisfied with his form and voiced his disappointment via an official Instagram story.

He has had consistent performances throughout the year. He made his debut in the finals of the Grand Slam at Wimbledon and his 7th ATP title at the Citi Open. The Citi Open doubles champion also made the semi-finals in Miami and Tokyo. They had to withdraw from the Japan Open following an injury and withdrawal from Kyrgios.

The Aussie was disappointed with the Wimbledon authorities for not awarding ranking points despite reaching the finals. He further pointed out that it has happened in the 53 years of history, but offered not to comment on that decision.

Some advised him to be consistent on the Tour and then make a claim over his chances while some advised him not to act as a good boy. The 2022 Wimbledon finalist has been in the headlines for his anger management issues often and has also been penalized for the same.

Kyrgios was eliminated in the fourth round of the US Open despite putting up an impressive performance in defeating Daniil Medvedev in the third round. He had withdrawn from the Paris Masters due to a recurring knee injury that had forced him to withdraw from the quarter-finals of the 2022 Japan Open mid-way through the tournament. He had also withdrawn from the Swiss Indoors.
