Novak Djokovic has been around for some time now. In the past two decades, he has seen many highs and lows. Many great players came shone on the scene and retired. He with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal dominated the scene of men’s tennis for more than a decade.
The Swiss have retired this year and many other big names such as Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, and Stan Wawrinka are in the twilight of their careers. Even the Serbian may have to contemplate retirement in the next few years. But till that time he is going to stay and try to win every match and every tournament that he can.
Tennis TV, the American sports broadcaster shared a photo of the Serb with the younger self of Holger Rune who is going to play in the final of the Paris Masters tonight.
“Tomorrow, these two will play a Masters 1000 final,” the caption read.
The young Dane has trained and played with and against the 21-time Grand Slam champion. He sees the maestro as a source of inspiration. He is excited to play in the final of the Paris Masters tournament. The first ATP 1000 tournament final of his career.

Holger Rune is considered to be the next big thing coming from Denmark in the world of tennis. After Caroline Wozniacki’s retirement, the 19-year-old became the “Face of Danish tennis”. He will take on young talents like him in the prestigious NextGen ATP Finals.
The young Dane is in fantastic form. He gave some splendid performances which have enthralled the minds of all. He started his ATP tour very early by participating in the Adelaide International 1 and Adelaide International 2 tournaments. However, he was knocked out of the Australian Open in the first round itself.
He won the BMW Open in Munich. His first single ATP title. He was brilliant in the French Open as he reached the quarter-final round. Here, he met Casper Ruud who knocked him out of the competition. Next, he was defeated by Marcos Giron in the first round of the Wimbledon too. He battled against Cameron Norrie in the third round of the US Open but failed to defeat him.
The young Dane played in the final of the Sofia Open but lost Marc-Andrea Huesler in straight sets. He followed it up with triumph at the Stockholm Open. He played against top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final of the Swiss Indoors at the Basel tournament but lost. His third final in a matter of two months.
He defeated veteran Stan Wawrinka, Hubert Hurkacz, Andrey Rublev, Carlos Alcaraz, and Felix Auger-Aliassime in the ‘Road to Final’ of the Paris Masters. Everybody is excited to know what the ‘future of tennis’ has in store within him as he takes on Novak Djokovic to win the prestigious Paris Masters title and trophy.
