Canadian superstar Felix Auger-Aliassime has been struggling to find his form back for quite some time now, and injuries have also set him further back down the line. Currently ranked No. 12 in the ATP World rankings, Felix has been left in awe of Carlos Alcaraz‘s recent performances after the Spaniard had been managing to win every single competition he has taken part in.

Carlos has won back-to-back competitions in the Queen’s Club Championships and the Wimbledon Championships, lifting consecutive titles on grass courts. Felix also felt the same regarding this as he talked to Sportsnet, saying, “It awakens my competitive side. I also allow myself to speak for the other players.”

He added, “We don’t want to let him win every tournament. It motivates me to do the right things.” He further mentioned how this title win for Alcaraz has ignited the spark in his mind for his faster recovery saying, “His words are reassuring about his form. “I did what I had to do to heal myself. Currently, my knee is fine. I’m back on the field and I’m ready to fight with the best.”

Felix has not been consistent at all in his past couple of tournaments getting knocked out of the competitions in the first few stages. He only made it to the semi-finals in one tournament i.e. the Qatar Open this year and except that has no other accolades to show for himself. Talking in his recent interview he mentions how hard it has been for him lately.

He said, “It is obvious that this season has not been what I expected so far. Luckily for me, it’s not over. In the end, I’m fine mentally. I’m positive about it all. I had time to be at home, training and trying to improve my knee, see where it comes from and solve this problem for the future. If I manage to get that physique back on the court, I know the results will start to come little by little, maybe even faster, because I know myself better and better over the years.”
