One of the most promising players in the world at the moment, Frances Tiafoe has been practicing with great determination ahead of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, which starts next week. However, something pretty interesting happened as he was seen in an unusual kit donning the Dallas Mavericks’ jersey and that too of their star player, Luka Doncic.
For the uninitiated, Tiafoe is very fond of the NBA, and he has also shown signs of it previously by following a match win with a LeBron James celebration. Now he was seen wearing the 77′ jersey of Doncic after photos from Wimbledon’s social media accounts emerged. Tiafoe is one of the most beloved athletes in the USA and has been a popular choice among tennis fans for the last few years.
Luka Doncic had a positive reaction to this incident. The NBA player took to Instagram and showed great admiration and appreciation for Tiafoe.
Tiafoe is currently ranked No. 10 in the ATP rankings, which is the highest in his career. Despite not having much playtime on the grass, he lifted his first grass court title last month at the Stuttgart Open 18, beating Jan-Lennard Struff.
How will Frances Tiafoe fare at the upcoming Wimbledon Championships?

With the Wimbledon Championships just a week away, Tiafoe goes into the competition as the 10th seed with heavy hopes for himself. He comes back with a great deal of confidence after he won the Stuttgart Open as his first grass title. With that being said, it seems like the American tennis professional is all set for the third Grand Slam of the year.
Tiafoe is just behind countryman Taylor Fritz, who is placed ninth in the ranking. His last few tournaments haven’t been too impressive, as he got knocked out of the Italian Open in the round of 32 stages. That’s not all, he couldn’t go past the round of 16 stages in the recent Queen’s Club Championships.
