Alcaraz won the fourth-round encounter against talented Italian, Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets with the score line of 6-3, 6-2, 6-2. The Spaniard has lost only 1 set till now and has been impeccable lately.

The Spaniard is playing at the French Open in 2023 after having a good run in the ongoing clay court swing. The World No. 1 had won the Madrid Masters by defeating German Jan Lennard Struff in a 3-set encounter. However, Alcaraz lost in the third round of the Rome Masters, which was quite unexpected, given his recent results. The 20-year-old made it to the quarterfinals of the tournament last year. With the current form of the 20-year-old, he has the chance to go really deep into the tournament.

Stefanos Tsitsipas won the 4th round encounter against Sebastian Ofner in a straight sets encounter. The score line of the match was 7-5, 6-3, 6-2. The 24-year-old has been in good form lately as he has just lost a set coming into the quarter-finals of the French Open.

The Greek is the fifth seed and is playing at the French Open in 2023 after having a decent run in the ongoing clay court swing. The 24-year-old reached the semi-finals of the Rome Masters, where he was ultimately defeated by the eventual champion, Daniil Medvedev, in straight sets. The score line of the match was 7-5, 7-5. With the 2021 French Open Runner up growing in confidence, it would not be a cakewalk for the number uno.

The duo has played 4 times in the past with Alcaraz winning all of them. They last met in the finals of the 2023 Barcelona Open where Alcaraz triumphed in straight sets.
