Novak Djokovic had a frustrating fit during his quarterfinal game in the ongoing US Open. He screamed out at a spectator at Arthur Ashe Stadium, who yelled “out” mid-rally. The distraction caused the Serb a very crucial point in the game. Completely furious at the spectator, Djokovic lost his mind and yelled at the particular person.
Though this particular point did nothing to the Serb’s goal of making the semi-final, he was raging when he got distracted by the fan. Instances like these are not very uncommon in the world of tennis. Various players have reported vulgar behavior of fans during rallies and between first and second serves.
Many players have condoned such behavior from fans, irrespective of whether they lose because of it or not. Such actions by audiences are considered disrespectful to both players on the court. Some spectators have even been made to leave the stadium following such constant disturbances.
But in the case of Novak, this happened during a very crucial match, during a very important point. Understandably, the 23-time Grand Slam champion was highly infuriated. In the heat of the match, Djokovic completely lost his calm and roared at the spectator in question. Spectators are frequently asked to keep quiet during matches. Especially ones as critical as these. However, there always seems to be one person who fails to do so.
Novak Djokovic wins the quarter-final against Taylor Fritz

Djokovic defeated Taylor Fritz as he advanced to the semi-final of the US Open 2023. He destroyed the American in straight sets, with a score 6-1, 6-4, 6-4. This moves Djokovic on to the semi-final of the tournament.
The Serb has set his mind on winning the US Open title. Upon the accomplishment of this feat, he will have 24 Grand Slam titles on his roster. This would make him the male tennis player with the most number of Grand Slam titles.
While Djokovic has not been as successful at the US Open when compared to other Majors, he will still be the toughest competitor out there. With only three US Open titles to his name, he will be itching for a fourth this season.
