“Game recognizes Game” Fans react to Novak Djokovic liking Kevin Pietersen’s emotional post about Virat Kohli struggling with form
Novak Djokovic and Virat Kohli
This year’s title was the seventh Wimbledon for Novak Djokovic which has also taken his tally of Grand slams to 21 which makes him one ahead of Roger Federer in the total no. of grand slams and one short of Rafael Nadal, with the win against Kyrgios, Novak has proved that he is coming to get the honor of being called the greatest tennis player of all time.
According to the recent headlines, it seems as if the Serb will have to take his name back from the Montreal Masters early in August because Canada’s health minister has issued advice that no such exemptions be given in the case of Djokovic who remained ‘unvaccinated’ and is still not planning to get it soon. With Montreal Masters, Novak Djokovic’s possibility of playing at the US Open in late August is still unclear because the USA also has similar regulations to its neighboring state.
Novak Djokovic likes Kevin Pietersen’s post about Virat Kohli on Instagram
Virat Kohli is a former Captain of the Indian cricket team who has a record 70 international centuries across all formats of the game to his name. He is currently struggling with the form and is being criticized by former cricketers, who also recently questioned his name in the squad. Kohli who is known for his big innings in the game is only behind Sachin Tendulkar (100 centuries) and Ricky Ponting (71 centuries) in the tally of most hundred has last scored a ton 970 days and that is a huge time for a player who scored 100+ scores for fun.
Out-of-form Kohli is getting all kinds of criticism and support at this stage of his career. A few days ago, Babar Azam who is being called ‘The next Kohli’, supported his idol by posting their picture together on social media with the caption ‘this too shall pass, stay strong’. Another post by former English Cricketer Kevin Pietersen in support of Kohli, where the Englishman compared Virat’s career to every cricketer’s dream career. The same post saw the recent Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic reacting to it.
The Serb who himself hit the lowest in his career at the beginning of 2022 has made a comeback in Wimbledon by winning it shows how a good sportsman rises after falling, we hope that Virat will prove his critics wrong and play his comeback innings soon.
