World No. 2 and 23-time Grand Slam title winner Novak Djokovic has been the most dominating force in the world of tennis over the last decade and has beaten almost every single top tennis athlete.

However, despite this, he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves and is merely booed by the fans without any reason. The incident has been repeated yet again during the second-round Wimbledon matchup against Jordan Thompson.

His coach, Goran Ivanisevic, has now opened up, saying that Novak should be treated with respect after everything he has done for tennis in the last 15 years. He also compared Novak’s dominance in tennis with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. He said, “For me, Novak is the greatest for me in everything, by results. Roger maybe played the most attractive tennis.”

He further added, “People they feel like they can relate with Rafa and Roger because they came first. But he does get great support. He is one of the best athletes, and I’m not just talking about tennis, but one of the best athletes in the world.”

Continuing his train of thought, Goran also added that he will always choose Novak as his first pick ahead of Nadal and Federer. “But if you have to choose somebody; some people prefer Roger or Nadal. For me, it’s Novak,” he concluded

Why is Novak Djokovic always second on the list when it comes to favoritism of fans?

Djokovic has always been second on the list when it comes to the favoritism of fans, no matter who the opponent is. This has been the case for many years now. He is one of those players with a strong mentality, and despite receiving several boos from the fans, he stands strong and still. Time and time again, he has proven his haters wrong, and that’s exactly what makes him even tougher to beat as he performs better in times of critical circumstances.

There is absolutely no reasonable reason why the fans hate him so much and always expect him to lose, but the great Serbian still stands tall after these years of boos and hate and keeps on writing his legacy. Fans have always preferred Nadal and Federer over him, maybe because they came into the tennis world before him, but Novak has passed all the records they have held in their careers.
