Bulgarian World No.25 Grigor Dimitrov is not having a great time off the tennis courts as well. Reports say that he was robbed by a group of motorcycle thieves in Barcelona. As reported by Marca, he was stripped of his wrist watch valued at 70,000 Euros. The incident is reported to have happened around 9.30 PM local time last Friday.
As per reports, the thief closed the rear-view mirror of Dimitrov’s car. It had the Bulgarian star reach out of his car window and straighten it out. The local police have already started investigating but no clue has been found as yet. The Spanish media and authorities have taken the case seriously and will be looking for some hints to save their face.
The 31-year-old Grigor Dimitrov’s Monte-Carlo Masters had ended in the second round after losing to Jiri Lehecka. The clay season was not historically the best for the Bulgarian so the chances of him coming back to top form in the rest of the clay swing is not certain. The “Baby Fed” has the talent to do wonders.
Grigor Dimitrov is going through a rough patch

The 31-year-old Bulgarian started his season by playing in the Australian Open. He was able to reach the third round but the challenge of eventual champion Novak Djokovic was too great for him. In the ATP Rotterdam Open, he looked great. He gave some amazing performances to reach the semi-finals. However, his luck ran out in the last four and he fell to eventual champion Daniil Medvedev.
Grigor Dimitrov also competed in this tournament in the doubles with Nicolas Mahut. The French-Bulgarian pair reached the quarter-finals but lost to the all-German pair of Tim Putz and Kevin Krawietz. He subsequently played in the Open 13 but was knocked out of the tournament in the Quarter-finals by Alexander Bublik.
At the Indian Wells Open, he could not do much as he was knocked out in the first round itself by Jason Kubler. Before the Monte Carlos Masters, he lost in the second round against Jannik Sinner at the Miami Open.
