She played in the Vancouver Open and made it to the Round of 32 where she was defeated by Arianne Hartono of France in straight sets. She then participated in the US Open but could not qualify for the main draw. She reached the quarter-final round of the Chennai Open. She also participated with Belgian Yanina Wickmayer in the women’s doubles event and made it to the semi-final of the same tournament.

She then, participated in the Korea Open losing to Tatjana Maria in the Round of 32 match. The Canadian then participated in both AGEL Open at Ostrava and Winners Open but failed to make it beyond the first round.

After playing a series of the second-rung tournament this year, she finally qualified to play in the Silicon Valley Classic which is a WTA major. She could not advance to the second round of this tournament. The American also crashed out of the Thoreau Tennis Open in the first round itself. She then failed to qualify for US Open main draw. She successfully qualified for the main draw at Guadalajara Open.
