Mcenroe commented, I asked him many times to come over to my apartment to chat, have a beer, and try to get him to where he should be. Not that I’m the guy who’s going to be able to do it, but I hope to have some impact because I understand a lot more of what goes on in a tennis player’s head than most. He happens to be a great boy in many ways. He is very popular in the locker room and he does a lot of charity work. But he has demons, in a way.

“The guy is a genius out there the way he plays, he needs Sigmund Freud to come out of the grave and somehow figure out a way to keep this guy going for a couple of years because we could use him, it’s unbelievable, he moves the needle for us in tennis. We need this big time but we don’t need him to try half the time,” Mcenroe said further suggesting that Kyrgios needs the help of the father of Psychoanalysis.
