The world no.3 was playing some amazing tennis at the Roland Garros in the past few weeks. He showed us why he was the third-best player in the world and managed to win matches in pressure situations.
In the semi-finals, he was up against the ‘King of Clay’ himself and it was always going to be hard even to win a set against him. But on the contrary, Zverev started the match with a really great mindset and gave everything he had to win the match. He managed to take both the sets into a tie-break but didn’t manage to win the first set and in the second one got injured.
Alex Corretja shares his sympathy for Alexander Zverev

Alex Corretja who was commentating on Alexander Zverev’s match was shocked by watching the german fall down. After the match when he was interviewed by Eurosport he explained how horrific Zverev’s injury was.
Corretja said, “Sacha just running into the forehand side usually on clay you try to slide a little bit and unfortunately it twisted completely. And you could see it right away and not just on T.V. I was watching him there and I mean you could see it right away he was absolutely dead in that situation.”
“This is like a lesson for life. One minute you are playing one of the best matches of your life and like ten seconds later you can’t continue. So just enjoy the moment, just live the moment because you never know what can happen in the next minute. So I just think it is shame that he has to go out like this. I wish him the best and I am sure. I am sure. Sacha Zverev will win a Slam for sure.” Corretja added.
