Former World No. 1 Venus Williams continues to prepare for her season debut, which is set for next week. Owing to a wildcard presented by the Indian Wells organizers, the seven-time Grand Slam singles title winner will make her debut in the tennis paradise.

While she gears up for her return, her off-court business ventures are growing. Having recently signed up for a sporting accessory company, the American has made a big investment by venturing into AI (Artificial Intelligence) now.

The 43-year-old has teamed up with budding entrepreneurs to co-found Palazzo. It is an AI-based interior designing application that aims to make renovations easier. The AI chatbot will advise the customers on possible changes after the user uploads a picture of the room they want to re-decorate.

The tool will then generate an image of what the new look of the room can be. This will help the users get a better idea of the design as they can get a preview and customize it accordingly. Williams has experience in designing given she founded the V Starr design firm back in 2002.

Our vision is to create a space where everything home is in one place. We want to make design fun and easy. If you talk to anyone who says, ‘I’ve just gone through a renovation,’ they’ve about had a heart attack. We don’t want that. We want people to be able to see [the design], feel confident about it, and have fun with it.
Said Williams.
I’ve always had a philosophy: there’s room for everyone if you have something to say. We absolutely have a lot to say. And the truth is, we’re passionate about this, we love design. It’s literally our happy place. We’ve just found this space where a lot doesn’t exist. And we get to have our say on it and make that mark.
Added the American.

Venus Williams confirmed for Sunshine Double as Miami participation confirmed

With merely a few days left for the Indian Wells Open, fans were waiting to know if Venus will be in Miami as well. Luckily, the doubt was cleared very quickly as the Miami Open announced initial wildcards.

Along with Williams, former Australian Open winner Caroline Wozniacki, British hotshot Emma Raducanu, and former US Open finalist Kei Nishikori were also named. The Indian Wells had faced a lot of flak for offering wildcards to the aging American.

But luckily for Miami, no such criticism was directed. While the Olympian is yet to win a title in the Californian desert, she is a three-time champ in singles in Miami. While the chances of her winning a fourth title are very low, a deep run would certainly delight her old loyal fans.

The Indian Wells Open will be played from March 6th to March 17th in California. Miami Open will start on March 19, with the finals scheduled for March 31.
