Stefanos Tsitsipas has not had the best year on tour, where he has failed to leave a mark at major tournaments. However, his underwhelming performances this season did not stop Brett Patten from lavishing praise on the Greek talent.

“There are very good players coming to Perth. Bringing world athletes back here in WA as part of the mixed format is nothing short of exceptional. I love Tsitsipas, I say it without shame. He’s a throwback to the days of Bjorn Borg with his long hair and he knows how to play, said Brett Patten.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has an opportunity to redeem himself before the end of the season, with a good run at the ATP Finals. The French Open 2021 runner-up has been handed a tough draw, being placed in the same group as prior champions, Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has an excellent track record at this event, given that he claimed the title in 2019, defeating Dominic Thiem in the final. The 24-year-old was knocked out in the round-robin stage and will have to be at his absolute best if he is to make it to the last four in Turin.
