The partnership between Rune and Mouratoglou began in October 2022, Rune had previously been working with his father, but he made the decision to join forces with the renowned coach and founder of the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy. During their six months together, Rune continued his upward trajectory in the rankings.

Yet, because Mike James and Lapo Becherini are still a part of his team, Rune will maintain his tight ties to Patrick’s Academy. Before taking on the role of Holger’s coach, Mouratoglou had long tracked his development. Rune is still a rising star in the tennis world, and with his natural talent and hard work, he is sure to continue his ascent in the rankings. Mouratoglou’s departure is unlikely to slow down the young Dane’s progress, and it will be interesting to see who he chooses to work with next.
