Danish tennis ace and World No. 8 Holger Rune is pretty impressed with Jack Draper after the Briton defeated him in the UTS London Grand Final. As Draper beat the Dane twice in two meetings at the exhibition tournament, Rune was left impressed and, thus, went on to claim that Draper can achieve greater heights if he continues to play the same way.

Holger Rune backed Jack Draper to beat anyone on the tour after his impressive run of form at the UTS London event. Rune feels that Draper possesses the ability to enter the top ten in the rankings and be among the younger lot whose members are touted to become future superstars.

As Jack Draper remained unbeaten throughout the tournament where he faced Holger Rune (twice), Gael Monfils, Casper Ruud, and Alexander Bublik, Rune feels the Briton has all the talent in the world to beat any player on the tour. The Dane also believes that Draper’s name should be taken alongside Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and himself.

If he (Jack Draper) continues to play like this, he can become top 15 obviously, even top 10. Playing like today (Sunday ), he can beat almost everyone on the circuit. He's going to be dangerous, that's for sure. Can he join the young people at the top of which Carlos, Jannik, and I are part? If he plays like that throughout the year, yes, he can do it.

Jack Draper already prepping for 2024 season

Although he played some top-level tennis and beat some big names in the sport in the last week, Jack Draper is in no mood to sit idle. In fact, he just wants a day off before he kicks off his preparations for the year’s first Grand Salm in Australia.

After beating Rune to lift the title in London, Draper talked about his plans. The Briton revealed that while he will cherish this win, he won’t let it get into his head. The World No.65 then talked about treating these tournaments as a preparation for the 2024 season.

We’re in the middle of our pre-season, we’re working really hard for next year. So I’ll have a day off, try and chill out a bit, this format takes it out of you and then I’ll be back to work on Tuesday to keep on going for next year. Small break for Christmas and then I’m flying to Aus so just keeping up the work from here.

Notably, Jack Draper has been included in the list of participants for the 2024 Australian Open. The Briton would hope for a better showing this time around as he had bowed out after losing to Rafael Nadal in the first round.
